we begin from the 11th of June, when i happened to be walking home from i can't remember where, and I SAW A TRUCK MOUNT THE KERB AND STOP ON THE PAVEMENT!
the driver and his two companions were nonchalantly talking between themselves and doing whoknowswhat, and before i realised it, right after snapping a quick picture, they all dismounted the kerb and continued their journey along the road as if nothing had happened!
i mean, how often d'you see that kind of thing happen right.
okay i warned you it would be random!
on the eleventh, i also tried Risotto for the very first time, when i was at dinner with Yi Ling, Bernie and Cerise (haven't seen Bernie in the longest of eons [if their length could be compared] and she still looks the same which is awesome!) at Cedele at Wheelock!

it doesn't look too appetizing (partly cuz of my phone but partly because it simply doesn't look too appetizing) but it was good! the black stuff was an assortment of mushrooms and i absolutely loved it--although i kinda reckoned it would've been better priced cheaper :p
anyhoo! now i recall that was a wednesday, and i went for the first terrible mambo night :( nessie and i were highly disgruntled after that night definitely!
lunch the next day was fun though! (:
so okay, on to an exciting day, today!
i visited the zoo with Cerise! who hauled me along when she got two free passes from the Blood Bank.
(along with *ahem* another 4500 people zomgs.)
but anyhoo i decided not to let the crowds bog us down and both of us embarked on an exciting memory-creating-and-resurrecting day!

so i had a pasta with meatballs for lunch which was served in very kid-friendly sauce (although the price--$7.50--was not as kid-friendly) for lunch!
(and at this point you must be wondering where the photos of the animals are. for that, please refer to Cerise's blog when she updates! :D)
in the meantime, i have some photos of flowers! :D
(because i love taking photos of flowers!)

this, my friends, is a pinwheel flower, and we found it in front of the lion exhibit. (: isn't it pretty!

and we also found white and red hibiscus! i love hibiscus flowers, i once found a really huge pink one outside Holy Spirit church and felt so happy for the whole day! (:

and this is a random pretty purple flower! if you know its name, please enlighten me, thanks:D

last one, before we left, a pretty orange flower! also am not sure of its name but ah well. heh. there was no sign nearby so you can't blame me!
but anyway i guess even though the Children's World train has been stopped (maybe years ago) and the fun spider webs and the Animal Kingdom are gone, and the fun water section had been replaced (and all these revelations left me immensely disappointed and sad), many things about the zoo were just like how i remembered them to be.
for instance, the swing set and the playground that i remember taking pictures at are still there (and i also noticed that they grew old with me! =) ), and we passed the elephant and pony rides too. (: the pgymy hippo exhibit is also just as i remember it, along with a whole lot of others that i can't really recall now.
now for some moments i'll remember!
1. Hearing the white-handed monkeys singing their "Woot-Woot" song, which at first sounded mysterious and slightly annoying but later kinda grew on me. (:
2. Seeing all the parts of the zoo that were exactly the same as i remembered them to be so many years before (that i can't recall the details of, what a pity!)
3. Watching a rhinoceros relieve itself RIGHT IN FRONT OF US! ugh. it later used its hind leg to kick it into a "neat" pile behind it before walking nonchalantly away. ugh. haha.
4. A butterfly landed on the front pocket of my shorts twice while Cerise and I were in Fragile Forest. It was black and had purple spots in four places and was really pretty! but kinda scary cuz of the way it kept following me after that haha (and cerise scurrying around and hiding behind me constantly didn't help! hahaha) regret not quickly whipping my phone out to take a picture of it.
hmm i guess that's off the top of my head now, but if i remember more i'll add them in later i guess. but that's all from the zoo visit for me now! really glad Cerise took me along (: apart from digging up memories and combing the whole place over four and a half hours (and ending with a deliciously sinful banana split from Ben & Jerry's :D ), i had a pretty good time with her =))
This brings me to the next random thing that i saw on the train ride home following NUS Dance Ensemble technique class:

not sure if you'll be able to see it but if you can, CHECK OUT HIS SURNAME LOL ok sorry. (to Mr G S Meow, apologies for secretly capturing your torso on my phone camera like a creepy psycho but i couldn't help it, your name was so amusing and cute!) (also, if not, i've enabled the link for this one so you can view a larger version so click if it's too small!
okay and i think i'll end here, with a couple photos eug and i took when we got bored at the airport while waiting for his family to return on the 2337 flight from HongKong.

since we hardly take any (nice ones)! :D
haha okay end of random post, and on another random note, i think i'll go watch Sex and the City tonight! =D
ciao!
and HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOSHUA! :D
